In line with the Summer season we have just achieved a £95,000 grant on behalf of Easy-Do Products, manufacturer of the EcoForce range of recycled clothes pegs and the Dishmatique range of kitchen cleaning products. Bell Finance will also be arranging all assett finance to support Easy-Do´s project.
29th July 2008 Lewis´s Bakery, a traditional craft baker based in Garrett´s Green, Bell Finance Limited, working with bakery director Simon Lewis, submitted an application for Selective Finance for Investment in England (SFIE) in the latter half of last year. A grant totaling £46,000 has been awarded allowing the bakery to invest in three new ovens and other bakery equipment. With the growing demand for artisan bakery products this will allow the business to develop new lines and continue to provide the same high quality products to local and nationally based sandwich makers, caterers and retailers.
Simon Lewis, director of Lewis´s Bakery is very happy with the grant success. "With the growing demand for both traditional English and European style breads we can now provide both, maintaining the high quality levels our customers have always enjoyed. Without the grant funding we would not have been able to move forward so quickly, and without Bell we would never have found the grant." April 2008 Aluminium Recycling (UK) Ltd, based near
Currently processing and recycling some 30,000 tonnes of both ferrous and non-ferrous metals from their modern 8 acre site, Aluminium Recycling have developed a unique and efficient process to remove the plastic widgets from beer cans – these cans cannot normally be easily recycled as they are viewed as being contaminated. Using their technique the company processed some 800 tonnes of used cans (roughly 40 million cans!) last year. The grant funding will allow then to move forward with an expansion and investment program which will see new employment and an increase in capacity potentially allowing them to handle up to 25% of the Feb 2008 When Howard McCarthy of H C McCarthy approached Bell Finance Ltd for asset finance to support the expansion of his composting business in Peterborough we immediately checked to see if he would be eligible for grant support. With his plans to spend nearly £½ million to ensure he could handle the 25,000 tonne of waste his license allowed, the increases in employment and the environmental benefits, we were sure he would attract some support.
After a fair amount of correspondence we managed to finalise the finer details of Howard´s project and submitted a grant application on his behalf. In January 2008 the East of England Development Agency awarded H C McCarthy a grant of £73,980
Since 1922 The Forest of Dean Stone Firms has been quarrying and processing the unique Forest Blue /Grey and Grey/Green Sandstones that are only available from the mineral reserves at the Barn hill / Bixhead Quarry situated in the heart of the Forest of Dean . With a pedigree that goes back some 150 years this fine grained pennant sandstone has been proven through past use backed up by modern test data to have a enviable reputation for durability and weathering. We were approached to provide assett finance for the company´s project to invest in state of the art CNC stone cutting equipment. Having discovered they would be eligible for grant support we also pursued this on their behalf achieving an SFIE grant of more than £40,000. The initial phase of the project is now complete and the new equipment is fully commissioned - a blessing as they have experienced a significant upturn in trade following an appearance on Channel 4´s "Grand Designs". Later in 2008 they plan to install a micro hydro power plant, further reducing their already small carbon footprint. Our customer has developed a niche

Bell was asked to finance an excavator for a specialist demolition company who were attaching to it one of the largest CAT 360 degree rotational shears available on the Market. We don’t have any difficulty financing older or unusual machines give us a call if you have a project in mind.
As the machine was not going to be used all of the time the customer required a large reliable base excavator to mount the shear upon. The shear alone weighs over 12 tonnes and needed a minimium machine size of 70 tonnes plus. They identified an older Liebherr unit which was refurbished and re painted by the supplier who also manufactured a mounting bracket for the shear. I am sure you will agree the finished product looks great, but the pictures don’t really do the size of the machine justice! |
